A Living Summer Dream...

It was a warm summer day. Little John had just left the house and had already reached the beach. He was anxious waiting his mother and his little sister, since he had no courage to swim by himself.

He took off his myopic glasses and was standing there. He took off his t-shirt, too. He left the fairytales book aside. He looked the road. But the road was empty. Nobody was coming and he was tempted to swim.

At a moment in time, he decided to do it. He swam into the deep, refreshing blue water and even though he had nobody around, he felt relieved. Water was fresh and particularly cold on his sunburned shoulders but it was a cure from the wild rays of sun. And then a wave covered him and then another… Panic. He thought he might be drowned. And then he heard a strange noise. He thought that a swimmer had approached him. But he became even more fearful, since there was nobody there… John was not particularly a brave boy. For example, chickens were his worst enemies.

The shore was far away and he was already exhausted. And what were these noises that continually have been followed him? With a constant heartbeat he looked suddenly on his back… He wanted to die. A huge mammal was next to him and was approaching dangerously… He was ready to faint. Still, for an unknown reason he automatically relaxed and smiled as if God had talked to his soul. It was a dolphin. A beautiful animal with aerodynamic curves and the kindest eyes he had ever seen in a living creature. This animal had felt the panic of the little human being and run to save him. As if he was reading his thoughts and John dolphin’s. He dared and dived with the dolphin and he saw two, three dolphins to play, to dance and to talk in the multicolored, magical, ocean bed. They had just found a shy octopus and the four of them were playing as if they were little children.

He had to breathe fresh air. He was already far away from the beach and he had no idea for how long. A familiar, from a long distance, voice appeared in the summer air. It was his mother. She was waving her hands and her whole body, when she finally saw him. She was afraid of him, since she knew that her boy was not a brave one and she thought that he might be drowned in there. Btu John had company that assisted him to reach the beach. Little by little and without realizing it, as if the waves were pushing him, the angels of the sea directed him out. He saw him to dive and to play, in the golden waters of the endless warm sea. Last one was the first he met, his dolphin friend. He felt that his heart was full of endless love for every living being on earth and there was no room for fear in his life…
